The Muckle Brig

We took the bus from the hotel to South Queensferry. We walked through the historic village and had lunch in The Hawes Inn ‘beneath’ the bridge. We spent the evening in the Botanical Gardens where one of T’s school friends was celebrating her 70th birthday with a barbecue and ceilidh. It was one of the very best fun parties we’ve been to for years. It was great to meet up with so many interesting people in such a familiar surroundings.
