Windwick
A morning in the South Parish, cutting back trees in Olav's Wood. The trees were becoming a bit overgrown and the call went out for volunteers to do some pruning. Secateurs are a favourite gardening implement of mine so I didn't need a second bidding!
A lovely, peaceful, sunny morning. I do enjoy being amongst trees. Good to see old friends and make new ones too. Refreshments were provided too. Coffee and Tunnock's caramel wafers! That's the way to get your volunteers to come back again!
While in the area, I went to Windwick. A super spot, a favourite of Mike's and mine. The cliffs were covered in fulmars. So good to see so many of them.
