White Stuff for Tennis

The annual Ilkley tennis tournament is taking place this week at the local club : billed as the Wimbledon of the North. Not sure about that but it has been well attended, my granddaughters have always wanted to be ball girls at this event but have never been able to volunteer because of their dancing. Think you can still go in free after 4pm.
Lots of shops and pubs in town have decorated their premises with a tennis theme and they are looking rather good. This is part of an elaborate display at the jewellers.

Did a couple of hours gardening this morning then called at the Waste
Not shop in the village for some oats for my Bircher breakfast then went to Ilkley to collect my prescription. Walked along The Grove and l don’t know who was playing at the bandstand but they were really good and had drawn a huge crowd.
Home now and in the garden , not working this time just enjoying it.

Going to the village hall tonight to watch the amateur thespians in Mystery at Greenfingers by JB Priestly.
