Buzz, John and Woody

This is one of the few "celebrities" that I would love to meet. Creator, director, producer and/or writer of some of the greatest animated movies ever - Toy Story, Cars, Monsters, Inc., The Incredibles - and founder of Pixar (with the assistance of Steve Jobs), John Lassetter is an artist, businessman and entertainer (he was the operator of the Jungle Cruise ride at Disneyworld in his younger days, and he still does it occasionally for fun.) This man's work has bought me, and millions of others, countless hours of pleasure. Thank you, John.

Red's Dream

I've chosen a link to Red's Dream because, of all John Lassetter's films, this one best highlights his genius at breathing life into inanimate objects. The Pixar standard lamp would be another great example of that.

A slightly different photograph because a sudden change of plan took me to the cinema to see, appropriately enough, Monsters University. While there I bought next year's diary and pen; I'm a sucker for licensed goods.
