When I get out of here....
....you are getting it pal!
First task of the day was to take Sparky to his new vet surgery for a registration check-up. He growled and spat at the vet but crucially didn't bite her. Quite a succesful visit by his standards.
The new step ladders arrived courtesy of the delivery fellow, permitting an inspection of the spectacularly cobwebbed roof space. I'd say the Home Report assessment of the roof was slightly optimistic (did he even poke his head into the loft?) and I rather suspect we're heading for some sizeable bills on the roof. Watch this space on that point.
My mood was lifted as I discovered the missing keys hidden in plants at the path-side. Then a new cabinet arrived to alleviate the logjam of stuff in the kitchen and then the lawnmower was received too. I've never had so many new things. I'll surely pay for this!
After lunch, Nancy and I headed over to the garden centre to collect some garden furniture. Outdoors breaky eating is now assured (Scottish weather dependent). We received a most generous garden voucher as a leaving gift yesterday and we've got out eye on a pear tree to join our apple and cherry trees. On the journey home, we popped into the village pub for a swift half,. Friday night drinks in the village pub - splendid.
Sleep will come quickly in this country air tonight.
