Hawker By Name Hawker By Nature

I spent the day at my mother's dealing with her admin and didn't get home until late afternoon. I put a chicken in the oven to roast and popped down to Amwell Nature Reserve while it was cooking.

I expected the place to be swarming with dragonflies but there was only one, a Hawker of some kind. It didn't settle the whole time I was there so I'm not sure which one it is. It was fascinating to watch it hawking for insects on the wing. I've captured it in flight but hope to better this pic. I struggled with the aspect. I had to shoot into the sun.
