Fibre distribution

Normally these boxes are buried in underground chambers. This one was open, with attendant Morrison's engineer, waiting for someone at the other end at the London Street exchange to light up a fibre .. the wires still get crossed, though they aren't wires but ribbon fibre. 

Out later to the Queen St Gardens East summer party. Cooler than last year, but not wet nor windy. Some interesting people, and some really misguided politics, though my husband got to deal with more of that than I did.
