Red Dome Blanketflower

I got out for a little hike at Pilot Hill this morning. There weren't a lot of these flowers but they sure were pretty. The mosquitos have definitely arrived. My bare arms got quite a few bites today. 
Today was mostly potting up some sunflower seeds and the little Christmas cactus seed pods that I cross pollinated about a year ago. I brought some cuttings home with me in the suitcase and specifically the ones with the bulbs filled with seeds. I decided to stick some in pots and just see if anything grows. It's mostly an experiment.
I'm off to the Irish session tonight. I'm discovering that it's taking a while to get used to my fiddle again.
