At the library

Our heat wave is due to continue through next week, with a couple of day of somewhat cooler weather Sunday and Monday, before picking up again. So it was a morning of indoor activities, including giving my sister a call - we hadn’t talked for several weeks. She’s nearly always been so healthy, but this year has had a couple of issues, which have made her feel that at almost 82, she’s going to need to give up some of her vegetable growing. She has a large garden, and especially when her husband Stuart was around, they grew a large variety of vegetables, salad and fruit. Now she’s on her own, except for when her son Andrew joins her, she obviously needs less, but even that is now becoming difficult for her to keep up with.
After lunch, R and I went for a swim at the outdoor pool at the Y, and managed to find some shade after, and sat and read my book for a while until I began to get too hot again, and went inside for a cooling shower, before coming home. After a cup of tea, I had to drive to the library to pick up a couple of books I had on hold, so that’s where my blip was taken.
