Leaf eating pigeon

Taken through the patio window so as not to scare it off this wood pigeon has recently started to land in a lilac tree and peck at the leaves. I can’t say I have noticed this behaviour before.
Lovely long day light this evening as this was taken at nearly 9 pm when I came in from the garden and it was still almost light at 11 pm. One of the benefits of living in Scotland but no doubt before too long we will notice the day light hours decreasing. It would be nice to get some summer weather before then !
