Day at a Time

Acer pseudoplatanus

A beautiful sycamore in the woods at Cambusbarron.

In April a friend and I walked the first leg of the proposed Crown of Trees route.  Today, the longest of 2024, we walked another section. This was a much longer walk than April's,  covering 13.5 km. We started at Bannockburn High School and finished at Kings Park. I've added an extra from my friend's tracker  - for some very annoying reason my Strava app didn't record. What a great way to celebrate the summer solstice.

My feet are now quite sore and Flora, who covered many  more kilometres than the humans and had a swim, is fast asleep.

Well done to blip friends in the southern hemisphere. You've reached the shortest day and it's all uphill from now. Least said about what's happening here - it'll be light till well after 11:00pm for a while yet.
