Gammon

Gammon with egg and pineapple, fries, and chips with a local bitter (Shropshire Gold).

We continued from Ellesmere along the Llangollen Canal today and stopped for lunch at a pub called the Narrowboat Inn. This was my first gammon (and I never would have heard of it but for a blip by Barrioboy that provoked a web search). After an enjoyable lunch, we continued along the canal and moored in Wales about a mile from Llagollen. Today's boating was the most beautiful and awe inspiring yet, but particular highlights were going through the Chirk Tunnel and over the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct (I don't even begin to know how that is pronounced).
