Scottish Shortbread recipe.

The Feast Day of Saint Romauld.

It has been close and cloudy but warm. 14c but with a mild breeze.
I got out for a walk to the canal and two new visiting canal boats were moored up. They were named The Jolly Bargeman and Ebony. One was a beautiful emerald green and the other was black with red and white highlights. The boaters were chatting to each other.

The parent swans were there near the Canalside Cafe, but not the cygnets. I heard the Canada Geese killed the cygnets this year. How sad and terrible if that is true. There are strong territorial vibes between the geese and swans.

One of my eyes has started suffering with floaters. It is painless but not what you would want. Ageing of the eyes comes with new issues. Counting the blessings, I can see ok with my glasses.

Paul has been helping me shift things in the garden. The two Jasmines are now planted near a trellis and we are planting the potentilla plants that were delivered this morning in the ground in front of the fence posts. There is much to do and it is the perfect weather to be getting on with it.
I will take a photo when it looks more organised.

I hope you have good weather and enjoy a lovely afternoon, blip friends.

The Scottish Shortbread recipe is worth a try. We coat ours with melted Bourneville chocolate and I added a few colourful sprinkles.

Steps -11671. More than usual due to the glorious warm weather.
