Day 15

We walked up to a local viewpoint today - not a massive distance, only about 5Km altogether, but took a long time as there was so much to look at. Lizards everywhere, so one of them had to be the main feature. I've crammed some of the views, flowers and insects into a collage. The day started off bright, with a clear view down the valley, but it was much more hazy by the time we got to the viewpoint, which was actually the site of a cross and a tiny Chapel (Saint Justin). Some of the walk was in shade, but the path kept opening out, with flowers along the edge or on mini-meadows. Our elderly springer found the climb troublesome in the heat (25+ degrees C this afternoon, but less in the morning) - last time we were here we did a much longer walk on what's known as the Montagne Fleurie & we were hoping to do that again, but it'd stress S too much. After seeing so much on today's short walk it really doesn't matter!
