Living my dream

By Mima

Nurse Bean

She was perplexed when I lay on the floor first thing this morning, to ease the back and buttock pain.

She clambered onto me, standing on my tummy and chest, then licked my ear to make sure all was well. I assured her I was alive ("Ow! Ow! Bean...gerroff me") and she headed back to her blankets by the heater for the rest of the morning.

For yes indeedy, whatever I did yesterday was worse than I anticipated. I have been prone most of the day, listening to (snoozing to) the radio. There's no discomfort when I'm horizontal. Normal life is on hold until things improve.

It is cold and wet outside, so I have no desire to be anywhere else.

Thank you for yesterday's comments. As Ticia said, it is just as well that this is my quiet time of year. 12 months ago I had shingles. It's odd - but good - that ailments strike me down in winter.

The best news of all today is from Blipper lizzie_birkett
It puts my minor complaint into perspective.
