Cruising.

Day two in Bergen began with a small ad hoc session of sight seeing before joining a cruise up the Mostraumen fjord to Mo (full name Modalen). The gentle mist set off the spectacular scenery well, though I may not have caught it adequately on camera and have not managed to sort through all my pictures yet. As you can see, our fellow passengers were overcome with ecstasy whilst I was rushing around like a kid in a toy shop waving a camera at everything I saw. They only moved when we reached the waterfalls at Mo which I felt could have done with a little more water. After 5 minutes there, normality was restored for the forty miles back to Bergen and the afternoon sun burned off the mist and completely changed the ambiance.
 
The boat was a catamaran, the first time I’ve been on one. It gave a very stable ride compared with a conventional single hulled vessel.
