 A bonus morning
has arrived - I will be glad
for this cooler day

I was out the door at 5:30 and rather surprised to see some sunshine peeking in. The forecast had not promised a lovely morning like this.

I drove down to the Schubert Drive Lookout on the north shore to get a read on the north river.

I noticed that the tent that had been beside the river is now gone. I wondered if the city had moved it out or if the owner had just relocated.

Mt. Peter was wearing  a white hoodie this morning. I know it won't last.

I can see that the beavers have been at work in this area. There are several broken trees along the river bank.

I looked north to the Halston Bridge and the railway bridge. I walked down to the shoreline to get a look south to the city. It was encouraging to see so much blue sky.

This little park sits beside the Rivers Trail and gets a lot of people going by - students, cyclists, dog walkers... There's a little drinking fountain beside the trail and some enduring plants and shrubs to make a small green space. I am always delighted to see something blooming there. I admired the flowers.

I'm home with my breakfast and coffee in hand. I will try to engage a plumber again this morning. The last one stood me up - made an appointment with me but didn't show up or even call. I hope to have better luck this time.
