Growing
(17/6/24)
A few weeks ago, G had an outing to a mushroom farm with her 4get-me-not group. She came home with two boxes of mushrooms and a pail to grow your own. She has been lovingly taking care of this bucket mushroom, watering it, and talking to it, and periodically moving it to the best place to give it a chance to grow.
I don't think she expected it to take as long as it has, but it finally started sprouting from the hole about a week ago and today, it had to be cut off as it no longer has space to grow. Result! She will now use it in a mushroom risotto. :))
I went into the office today where we finally got the email telling us how many days we have off next week. Two. Hmmm. This Eid has historically been three days long, but I guess times are changing.
G had a 4get-me-not outing in the afternoon. A movie premiere, in a cinema (Bur Juman) not too far away. I dropped her off and then did a shop, organising dinner. I then picked her up several hours later. It wasn't just a movie premiere; there was also a talk by a Sleep therapist. She asked everyone to come dressed in their pyjamas! G found something suitable. I don't think the movie (The Goat Life) was the best choice. It is based on a true story and is not for the faint-hearted (or elderly), as G relayed later. She came home very disturbed.
