Arctic fox

Day 6. Weather picked up this morning so the expected zodiac cruse along the cliff face at Alkefjellet had to be cancelled, instead the captain managed to get the ship quite close for us to have a look at the birds, but they were too far away to photograph. Had a long crossing over lunchtime to get to the next landing area in Eoluseneset, wind had dies down enough to allow us on land near the cemetery for the people who died in the French Netherlands battle over the whaling rights in the 1600’s. As we were getting ready to leave an Arctic fox appeared, which was nice to see. Went for a boat ride into the fjord but didn’t see anything else. Back to the ship to warm up before dinner.
