Day at a Time

Mono Monday: something I treasure

Like many of us who are fortunate enough to receive NHS care I really treasure, value and respect our health service. It's a huge organisation and of course things aren't always right. There are problems and  never enough money. There can be defensiveness and rogue staff. . I'm not denying that the NHS is imperfect but so far it's looked after me very well.

This morning I was at the community  hospital for my second dose of the shingles vaccine. As always it is a cheery clinic and very quiet today. I just hope for no nasty side effects. None last time so I'm hopeful. Thanks to Pinkhairedlady and thank you NHS.

My grandson is visiting Stirling Castle this morning with Cameraman. Before I left to walk to the vaccination centre I made banana muffins. Since I returned home I've eaten two of them. Better leave some for a hungry boy.

Yesterday's party was delightful. The nine year old set up a spa (nails, hair and massage) in her bedroom. The two five year olds set up a squishmallow fight and a school. My son made two varieties of pasta bake at the nine year old's request and there was a lovely cake. I really shouldn't be eating banana muffins today.
