Packhorse Cottage, Low Lorton
For 22 years last century we lived in this 1734 cottage in the Lake District. Pity I didn't do photography in those days - if I had spare time it was up the rock faces with a rope, not a camera...
The picture was picked up in a local Cockermouth shop by family - who brought it up for Grandma's (my wife, Helen) 75th birthday. Thank you to them and to the artist. It will grace our walls, hanging between a 'Tap o' Noth', Aberdeenshire and a Simon Bull of the 'Langdale Pikes' (all originals, of course).
