A day in the life

Steppingstones

Gorgeous morning, and day. During the first hours of the morning there was no wind at all and I was sitting on the porch for a long time, enjoying the stillness and warmth of the sun.
After some time, the eyes starts searching for focus points and landed on some flowers that looked dry, the tomato plant also got a splash of water. Then I started wondering about how big the stepping stones actually were, the house was built in 2009 and the grass has been gradually covering the stones. I freed one of the stones, hardly visible at all, of the overgrown grass and found it quite a lot bigger than I thought and it looked good. Well, there are fourteen of them so guess what I had to do now I started. The entrance looks more inviting afterwards, I think.

After some music work, looking for songs, and after lunch when I was sitting outside, overlooking the meadow, I thought it looked really scruffy in the wetter places, especially after last nights heavy rain. The  grass had started laying down and the thistles are taking over. Maybe I should start mowing the worst part of it with the scythe before the seeds starts falling off and I have an even worse situation next year... Hours later, heres part of the result (extra), I've started stacking the hay for drying and I will continue tomorrow.
None of this was on my mind when I woke up, I thought I was going to have and easy day in the sun, maybe a walk later and some strawberries from the field...
