A day in the life

Temporary

I'm lucky to have an old well on my lot, it has been in uses many years ago but when the neighbour farmer built two irrigation dams, the well was no good any more, the dams almost drained it completely. After that, my house was attached to the communal water-pipes. Last year, the well had under a metre of water in it and I could use it sparingly for watering. This year, due to the wet winter, the well is half full so I don't need to save it too much. I thought it would be a good idea to save rain water as well so I put a tap in the bottom of a water barrel and attached it to the gutter, not a very pretty solution but it works and I can come up with a neater idea later on. Let it rain.
