The Pensioner

Not Adrift

What I didn’t say yesterday was that someone was waiting for me at the west end. That was a shame as you can’t get luggage out the hold until the bus station. Luckily she had wheels to pursue the bus and scoop me up.
I think she’s been missing me, in between watching Beth Gibbons, going to the Traverse and listening to Rick Redbeard at Leith Depot. Well, I think so. She certainly seemed keen to come over to the boat with me. Well, at first.
And later we stepped out - to the Cameo to see The Dead Don’t Hurt written by and starring Viggo Mortensen. And he composed the music too. Talented blighter, as is his co-star Vicky Krieps. A really lovely film - so very good looking. Got to love a proper Western. A world where aggression must either be violently and dangerously resisted or accepted, as Bradshaw noted. Indeed.
