Yellow Loosestrife

Lysimachia vulgaris

Last time I was in the reserve I noticed the yellow loosestrife was just beginning to flower, so today I went back for it.  There was certainly enough of it to give a pick of which plant to blip, but since last time I'm afraid some rather clumsy and over-kill cutting back has been done along the boardwalk which has felled a certain amount ;(

While there I bumped into a lovely friend who photographs birds with an even smaller lens than my new one.  He told me it's manual, about sixty years old and has no auto-focus but thinks he's quicker focusing manually anyway.  He takes good pictures too.  Just goes to show it's not only about what camera you have but how well you know how to use it!

After my walk it was gardening, then J took me up to Homebase for a list of stuff, half of which I forgot.  And we followed that by taking Duke for a walk in Crab Wood.  I must admit I'm feeling it a bit now!.

Have a happy evening  xx
