Growing

The trees in the community orchard are growing well and bearing plenty of young fruit - apples, plums and cherries. The trees are surrounded by tall grasses and wildflowers which makes for a beautiful sight, especially in the sunshine. It’s fascinating to see this little place evolving and to have it inspire us to learn about flowers and insects, and of course fruit tree cultivation.

I spoke with Dad this morning and we compared notes on our vegetable patches. I passed numerous small vegetable plants to him when I visited a few weeks ago and so far they are growing similar to mine which are around a 100 miles south of his home.

Grateful:
- To harvest raspberries and strawberries from the allotment.
- To watch a buzzard, swallows and house matins flying in the sky as I sat in the garden.
- To speak with Dad and have a good chat, and for my sister who is popping by to see him today.
