Productivity
An aerial view of our raised beds and cold-frames, planted up with salad leaves, tomatoes, cucumbers, aubergines, basil and peppers, along with cosmos for some colour. Time will tell how successful they will be although the salad and basil are serving us well already.
I’ve spent a few hours at the allotment these past few mornings but it’s too hot for me by noon. I’ve been concentrating on the two original plots, weeding, watering and protecting the fruit and vegetables from wood pigeons. The harder work on the new plot will need to wait until it is cooler.
The afternoons have been spent in the relative cool of the house - reading, cleaning and today writing up aromatherapy notes. It’s such a joy to have time to let the day ebb and flow naturally and not to feel the need to squeeze as much as possible from each available minute.
