Simple Minds at Le Mans

I don't mean the motor racing enthusiasts who flock to the circuit every year, including tens of thousands from the UK, but the rock band fronted by Jim Kerr. They were giving the Saturday night rock concert that has now become an established part of the Le Mans weekend. The venue used to be behind the Dunlop Bridge but that was quite limited a space and too near the track. The concert is now staged in a much larger setting in the interior of the circuit and on a much larger stage that was not unlike the Other Stage at Glastonbury. The band drew a big crowd and didn't disappoint. The extra is a shot of the race itself from one of the fan zone screens. The weather has been poor - chilly, windy and rain showers.
