Stolen shot

A fairly uneventful drive to the caravan site in Banchory apart from the bouts of heavy rain. Thankfully avoided getting wet when we stopped for a bite of lunch at Stracathro services.

Took Phin for a walk along the river whilst Mr PHL got the van set up. All very pleasant until he dived into the bushes and I heard an ominous splash. Yep he’d found a deep muddy puddle and emerged black to his shoulders.

Back at the site I tried to sponge him down with water but it was sticking to him so much we asked the site if they had a hose we could borrow. Normally he runs away from a hose but was very good and let us clean the mud off.

As our planned dinner with Mr PHL’s brithef and his wife was cancelled as their dog was at the vets, Mr PHL arranged to catch up with a friend who has recently separated from his wife of 30 years (the friend has been foolish and is at fault but there are two sides to every story I’m sure).

I took Phin for a longer walk before getting organised to watch the opening match of the Euros. Scotland were sadly a little outclassed and despite not being a watcher of football, I quite enjoyed my solitary dinner with a glass or two of wine whilst shouting at my iPad!
