Woodland Walk

A good night’s sleep at our new site without the traffic noise waking us up.
We wanted to explore the area a bit so we booked a two night’s stay before heading out to Manchester.

We began our exploration with a walk to the nearest Coffeeshop called the Old Barn on the Kingsbury Water Park grounds and enjoyed a Bacon & Egg sandwich and coffee there. On the way we saw a beautiful red fox running across the road.

There are several different walks crisscrossing the area. We more or less followed the sign posts for the Woodland Walk which was a beautiful wooded trail that led in the direction of the campsite. There were helpful signposts along the way.

Later in the day we had the pleasure of an overnight visit from Kevin who happened to be working at his wine tasting stand at the NEC (National Exhibition Center) in the area.

David cooked a delicious Indian meal followed up with cheese and biscuits. I had managed find some of my favorite cheese - Cropwell Bishop White Stilton, so was able to enjoy that.
