Mixed day
Photo is of a young goldfinch contemplating the flight to the feeders. It sat there a while before braving it. The young ones are still getting used to feeding themselves.
We did the Friday shop and then I was at the GP surgery for an appointment - which I was surprised that I managed to get! Maybe PATCHS works better than I thought it would.
Went to see about the lump on my knee which I've had for at least 8 weeks and which is going a little worse. I thought it was bursitis but having waited for it to improve by avoiding kneeling, I thought better get it checked out.
I saw a lady - no idea if she is a doctor, nurse clinician or what as she did not introduce herself - I have a prescription for topical ibuprofen and advised to take paracetamol 4 times a day. I also have a physio referral for July 1st and if the topical treatment does not work it may need aspirating.
After lunch the weather improved somewhat and the sun came out.
Terry has been painting the garage workshop floor and I was quite impressed by his back-saving ideas. He popped a little roller on the end of a brush steel and was pouring paint onto the floor then using the roller to spread it! See extra.
I've not done a lot today but felt shattered this afternoon so had a nap. I did wake very early this morning though with shouting and banging from next door.
Sciatica playing up today - it's great fun getting old! Must remember to get the TENS machine out as it works really well to shift the sciatic pain for a few days.
