Artemis

After breakfast in the garden we had time for a quick stroll to the beach. We passed this shrine on the way. The air is beautifully warm and a few locals were swimming or rather chatting in the sea. You wouldn’t know you were close to the airport.

We headed back to the airport to wait for our local flight to the island of Kithera. Given how smoothly the stay at the apartment went with taxi either way we wouldn’t hesitate about changing planes at Athens.

We arrived a little later than expected in Kithera but met up with our taxi to Kapsali. We are staying in a lovely hotel. The weather has been fairly warm but cloudy with some rain. There were a few storm clouds as we walked down to the village seafront for our evening meal and suddenly there were several outbursts of hail. We enjoyed a lovely meal of sea bass and courgette fritters for starters. Fortunately we managed to walk back up to the hotel without getting wet.
