Scotland badge on sixties football top

This evening Scotland’s men play Germany in the opening match of the Euro 2024 football tournament. Despite other affiliations it is the national team that sets my heart racing. It’s a strange thing that goes back to 1962 when as a seven year old I was first entranced by the men in dark blue jerseys with the lion rampent badges. Competing on a big stage is the most exciting thing. We pioneered short passing football and we are still pretty good at it.
