A change of plans
I was asked to make photos of a climate action in defense of forests this afternoon, but early this morning I received a text from Margie’s daughter saying that she (the daughter) and one of her brothers who visited Margie over the weekend, both tested positive for Covid today. I spent yesterday afternoon with Margie, so her daughter wanted me to know. So far Margie has no symptoms, nor have I, but I texted the forest defenders this afternoon to say I may have been exposed and felt I should cancel. I’m checking in with Margie’s daughter and keeping fingers crossed.
Sue made it to the climate action and sent me a few photos. Very few people showed up, sadly. It was scheduled at 3 in the afternoon on a work day; odd timing if they wanted a crowd.
Late in the day I took a solitary walk, distant from other people, and came across a large crowd of people with dogs. I waited to see if some kind of class for the dogs was about to happen, hoping for something vaguely resembling the brilliance of WalkingMarj’s shot of dogs on the 8th, but the jumble of Portland pets remained chaotic till I got bored and moved on.
