Willow Flycatcher

I was giving up hope of finding anything interesting when I spotted this tiny bird way up in one of the willows. I thought it looked a little unusual. It turns out it's a willow flycatcher, a new to me bird.

Apparently, flycatchers don’t learn their songs from their parents, as many other birds do. Instead flycatchers hatch knowing their songs.

Loved the shape of this branch and was so undecided about the crop: full tree, just the bird, or this one.
