I haven't seen swans on the lake for a few months now, so it was a surprise to see two heads bobbing up and down in the inlet.

I went closer to see them feeding on the green algae (or duckweed, I'm not sure what it is!). One would scoop while the other kept watch.

I see one has a collar, not sure what that's about. I think it has 31 embossed on it.

I looked to locate where their eyes are positioned, but their black face mask makes it difficult.
