Frosty Tracks
We had a good frost this morning....the first decent one for the month. By the time I arrived at the Taylor River with the dogs the sun was well up and frost was thawing.
The frost was still heavy on this part of the track. The dogs were leaping around in great spirits. They didn't seem to be at all concerned about the frosty ground beneath them.
The clear sunny day did not last for long with the clouds building from the south. There may be snow on the tops overnight. Good for the ski-fields but not so good for early lambs.
The ford is being repaired yet again. The last time the heavy machinery was on site was to provide temporary motor access to the true left bank. It is to be hoped that these repairs will be longer-lasting and be able to withstand the next (inevitable) flood in the Taylor River.
