Abstract Thursday - ‘Shapes’

Having talked it over with my sister yesterday, I’ve decided not to try renovating the bungalow before moving day. I’ve spoken to my nephew about it, who is going to do all the decorating, and actually this suits both of us. As well as taking a considerable amount of pressure off of me, he has got behind with his outside decorating work because of the wet weather so it’s taken the pressure off of him too. I will now focus solely on organising the move itself and then unpacking and settling down and finding a place for everything to go. We will get the plumbing, electricals, decorating and flooring etc done in a few months’ time. This is actually what I did at the flat all those years ago, and it all worked out very well then. I shall just have to be patient for a while longer!

I’ve now paid the deposit for the new venetian blinds, so hopefully they will be fitted in the next couple of weeks. After church this morning and our group coffee, I’ve spent the rest of the day doing laundry and useful bits and bobs. Feeling a lot more cheerful and positive now after the change of plan.

My Abstract Thursday blip is an edit using several bits of software - it started out as a photograph of the leaded lights in the lounge door, which are diamond-shaped. Thank you very much to Ingeborg for hosting the challenge.
