Are You Sitting Uncomfortably?

In an ideal world
a Dad doesn’t wobble
at the first sign of trouble.

He stands firm.

And when your castles in the air
fall apart
he rebuilds them for you
on solid ground.

But some of us Dads
aren’t always sure where to start
when things go wrong.

Our structures aren’t necessarily rebuilt
with every single piece
in the right place.

We have a go
but there’s still some uncertainty.
They're wonky.

You can't quite trust them.
Perhaps
they'll collapse.

Hopefully, when you’re older,
you’ll realise that being a Dad
can be hard

and on birthdays,
and Father’s Days,
you will send a card.
