A blowy Monday walk at Abberton Reservoir
Went for a walk at Abberton Reservoir nature reserve with B. Beautiful summer meadows and lots of birds to see from the hides. Along with the usual birds we saw Arctic Terns diving for food, and heard a meadow pipit, before spotting it. Had a discussion about which bird we would be ... B said swan, as they mate for life, I said swift as it would be awesome to soar through the air.
After we drove to Mersea for lunch at our favourite tea shop.
The athletics kept me occupied in the evening. Very exciting.
