Spreadwing Damselfly
Most damselflies hold their wings closed when resting, but there is one that does not... hence the name. I hesitate to post another damselfly, but I did find this one interesting. One, because of the wing spread and two because of the rust colored spheres on her abdomen. Have a look large to see what I'm talking about. Any ideas? There seem to be a few attached to her, I searched on-line and in my insect ID book but have not come up with any answers nor any other images with these additions. Otherwise, I found her attractive and the combination of that and her interesting bumps made her blip worthy for today.
It was dog bath day... And I'm definitely getting old, because that just pooped me out. (DBD's are the only days that I wish I had just one dog...) ;) Otherwise it was a busy but good day. Very warm and humid again... my camera lens fogs up every time I go out with it. And my husband is done with his vacation and back on the road this week. I do miss him... kind of got used to having him here for a change. Good thing he is taking more time off soon. :)) Hopefully he wont work so hard while he's off next time.
