knowing the end from the beginning

This stained glass window is in the Loretto chapel built in the 1850s in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
What caught my eye was that the Omega is on the left side and the Alpha is on the right, rather than the other way around.
Normally I think of Christ (the chi rho symbol above) as the Alpha and Omega, the Author and Finisher of all things. But this made me realize He also knows how all things will end before they even begin.
It gives me a wonderful feeling of security and peace.
