New friend

Bertie and I had just set off on our walk this morning and I was lost in thought while Bertie was checking his pmails. I turned round and found that we were being watched so I watched back, Bertie was oblivious as he was busy following his own agenda. Eventually, Bertie looked up and was all set to chase our new friend away until I stopped him so he decided just to stand and look too. It was a special few minutes and I hope we will meet again.
It wasn’t so windy today and consequently a little warmer than the past few days. Of course, the lack of air movement meant that clouds of midges appeared and quickly put paid to any attempts at gardening!
