Smokebush

The smokebush (Cotinus ‘Grace’) was glowing beautifully in a patch of sunshine this afternoon but it is still too early for any ‘smoke’. Hopefully, sometime in the coming few weeks, fluffy plumes of tiny flowers will appear, looking like smoke. Fingers crossed.
Today I really appreciated being retired as the day slipped by very gently while I completed a number of jobs at a gentle pace.
