Seeking a place to call home...

I was actually feeding the enormous and ravenous pond fish when this female southern hawker dropped in with a view to settling a few offspring in the area. I did what I could to lure the fish to the other end of the pond, then ran and grabbed a camera. 

Like helicopters, dragonflies in flight don't look right unless there is wing blur, and I'm happy with the main, but I could have done better with the close up profile of her ovipositing. That snout, mind. I don't think I've ever noticed how very nose-like it is...
