Goldfinch

Looking rather bedraggled I think this is a weary adult having raised a brood. It has been in the birdbath for a quick dip and is now at the feeder looking for lunch. Sunflower hearts are on the menu.

I have found a way of getting closer to the feeders and subsequently getting more detail in my shots.  Needs patience but very worthwhile on a day like this.
