Purley, eh?

A very busy day at the cafe and then many hours sitting down on trains:

Dumfries to Carlisle
Carlisle to Crewe
Crewe to Euston
St Pancras to Redhill

All trains ran on time and I was in the quiet coach with nobody next to me :-)

Sarah and Merry came to meet me at Redhill and we walked the mile back to their flat. It gets dark early down here.

I spent many teenage hours in Purley, the butt of Monty Python jokes and the setting for “Terry and June”
