Knapweed

A beautiful day and so warm that I had to take off one layer and shove it in my backpack.

The gardeners in Pollok were extremely busy with each of the formal flowerbeds in the walled garden being planted up with bedding plants to surround the feature plants in the centre of the bed. In a few weeks, once the plants are in flower, there should be some wonderful displays.

The Knapweed is growing in the Gazebo Garden. Ideal conditions for butterflies but none to be seen just plenty of wee Buff-tailed bees enjoying themselves as they flitted from flower to flower.
