Precious

MrK and I were able to sit outside for our cuppa this morning as the sun shone brightly. Mum came over and we went off to church. MrK came too, to carry the painting mum was donating. My Sister Lizzie had painted Jesus healing the blind man, for her A level Art and was lucky enough to have it hanging in Westminster Abbey for an exhibition many moons ago. I remember Mum and Dad having it hanging in various homes over the years, but for some reason not in mum's latest and Lizzie doesn't want it.
MrK then went on to finish cutting the Laurel at the back of the church that hangs over our neighbours garden, who talks alot about the light it blocks out!
Great service by Sally and Avril was touched by MrK's help.
Back at the cottage we got on with various jobs, but the vacuum gave up the ghost do we went to Aldiss in Fakenham to buy a new one, luckily in the sale, and MrK decided we would eat a meal there.  My first crab salad of the season! It stayed brightish, but windy, so I hot on cutting back the finished aquilegia and the rest of the forget me nots. Luke and the family arrived around 5pm and I'd filled another brown bin. Isla was eager to help me pot up Ted's fushia as they'd kindly bought it with them, after I forgot it yesterday! We washed our hands and used Isla's special hand cream which smelled of strawberries, before she presented me with this precious pasta picture she'd made to say thank you for letting them stay for a couple of days. She then taught me a couple of 'ballet' moves which left one year old Lenny in fits of giggles.
A good drive home in time for FK to watch F1 and us to see the finale of The Piano. I was in bits. Such a simple concept and so very special. A great wknd all round.
