A few jobs around the house first then I stepped outside to assess conditions for gardening. It was cold and breezy.

Back in until early afternoon when I went to Brockhole by bus. First warning sign was a notice saying ‘parking for booked activities only’. I was on foot. Then as I entered the open area I was stopped by security and told that I could only go in the gardens or adventure playground! I settled for the gardens. The reason for the partial closure was that equipment and marquees were still being removed after the Great North Swim at the weekend.

Having been unable to get anywhere near the lake it’s flower photos. Couldn’t choose between them so made a collage.
